SB-253

SB-253 requires companies to disclose Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions for the 2025 calendar year by 2026. Disclosure of Scope 3 emissions will follow in 2027, based on 2026 data.

SB-261

SB-261 mandates that companies prepare and publicly disclose a climate-related financial risk report every two years. This report must align with the recommendations of the TCFD framework or the ISSB standards.
